Listed below are the rules of the classroom.  Below are the consequences.  Rule 1 has consequences one, rule 2 consequences 2 and so on.

Classroom Rules

  1. No Games
  2. No sites other than assigned or for the current assignment
  3. No Food (no going to vending machines)
  4. No Gum (look under the desks of you do not know why)
  5. No touching each other
  6. No touching each other’s computers
  7. No phones out
  8. No use of Phones
  9. Use your headphones in the computers (If I can hear it, it is too loud).
  10. No downloading anything without permission
  11. No Flash Drives other than classroom provided ones
  12. No rolling chairs around the classroom
  13. No inappropriate language
  14. No Tardies
  15. 3 bathroom passes per 9 weeks
  16. No charging MP3 player, Phone, etc in the classroom (computer or elsewhere)
  17.  This is not Chorus, do not sing
  18.  The camera’s on the computer are not for you to use as a mirror
  19. Do not do you make-up/hair/etc in class

 

Consequences

  1. 1stTime Computer Locked for 1 Minute (if you try to unlock it immediate referral)
    1. 2nd Time computer locked for 5 minutes
    2. 3rd time referral with pictures of the last 3 times where warned attached
  2. Same as above
  3. Confiscated and thrown out (you can place items by the sink when you come in to retrieve when you leave to prevent them from being confiscated)
  4. 1sttime – spit gum out with warning
    1. 2nd time loose computer for 1 Minute
    2. 3rd time referral
  5. 1sttime warning
    1. 2nd time seat change and phone call home
    2. 3rd time referral
  6. 1sttime warning
    1. 2nd time referral
  7.  1sttime phone confiscated
    1. 2nd phone confiscated and turned into office for parent pickup
  8. Phone confiscated and turned into office for parent pickup
  9. Sound turned off in entire classroom – 1sttime 1 minute
    1. 2nd time 5 minutes
  10. Referral
  11. Flash drive confiscated and not returned, Referral as well
  12. 1sttime warning
    1. 2nd time loss of rolling char
    2. You call home from my desk to tell parents
    3. Referral or loss of chair (meaning you stand) for remainder of class and next day.
  13. 1sttime Detention
    1. 2nd time call home
    2. 3rd time sent out of class/referra
    3. If I consider the language inappropriate it is inappropriate.  Argue and go straight to a referral.
  14. 1sttime Locked out
    1. 2nd time you call home from my desk and explain and locked out
    2. 3rd time sent out referra
    3. If you are locked out do not knock I will be unlocking the door when I am ready.  If you knock it will take me longer to get there.  Your classmates are NOT allowed to let you in.
  15. Each time after the 3rd pass you owe me 15 minutes after school to makeup the time you missed in class.
  16. Confiscation of item and parents have to pick up from discipline office.
  17. Warning and then detention
  18. Computers locked
  19. Confiscation of items.  Parents must pick-up

 

There is no reason that you need to go see another teach, go to guidance to ask for a pass, go see your friend, make-up a test in another class, and anything else I forgot to put here.

The following is copied directly from your syllabus that you signed saying you understood the rule of the class.  They apply as well in addition to the above.

Class Rules/Expectations 

  • Lab fee $15.00 due by end of the second week (this includes a flash drive that will be issued the first 9 weeks of class and be allowed to be taken home at the end of the year).
  • Bring your headphones!  You will be viewing many online tutorials.  You will need your headphones to hear them.
  • NO FOOD OR DRINKS allowed near the computers at anytime. No warning.
  • All students are expected to come to class prepared (flash drives will be kept in the room at all times).
  • All students must raise their hand to be recognized in class.
  • No students should be on a computer other than their assign computer.
  • At the beginning and end of each class you are responsible for checking the equipment you will be using.  If there are any problems bring it to my attention immediately.  Once you begin working I will assume everything is in proper working condition.  You are the one responsible for letting me know if it is not.
  • No student should be working on any other computer programs without permission. This includes online games and music videos.
  • The Code of Student Conduct and Discipline is in effect at all times, especially the Computer and Internet Access policy.
  • Do not damage computers, mouse/mouse pads, printers, calculators, or any other furniture in the classroom. If student damages equipment an obligation will be assessed to the student’s account. (See acceptable users policy)
  • You may NOT download anything to the computer or change the properties of the setup. Automatic referral and possible removal from the class.
  • RTW’s CANNOT be made up.  NO Exceptions!
